Shane Lowry Dominates Amgen Irish Open, Secures Record Win Under Trump

Irish golfer Shane Lowry claimed a dominant 11-shot victory at the Amgen Irish Open on Sunday, finishing 23 under par after a stellar final-round 63 at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel. The home favorite was awarded the championship trophy by United States President Donald Trump following an incredible week of golf.

Home favorite Shane Lowry cruised to a record 11-shot victory on 23 under par at the Amgen Irish Open on Sunday, firing a phenomenal final-round 63 at the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg.

The 39-year-old entered the final day with a four-shot lead and never looked back, carding eight birdies including massive 45-foot putts on the seventh and 15th holes to outclass the rest of the field.

'To come here this week and do this, like come on! I don't know, I just don't do things by half measures,' said Lowry after sealing his second Irish Open triumph.

Closest challengers Jacob Skov Olesen and Joaquin Niemann failed to make inroads, allowing America's Patrick Reed to share second place at 12 under after a faultless 64 alongside Niemann.

Lowry celebrated his first individual win since 2022 alongside his mother and supporters, and is set to bring the prestigious trophy back home to his family in Florida.
