Boss Direct Transforms Ewood Park Signage, Local Business Secures Major Deal

Boss Direct completed a wide-ranging branding and signage overhaul for Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, transforming fan-facing areas and internal facilities across the historic stadium. The local supplier delivered an extensive package of works including turnstile numbers, wayfinding maps, stand signage, and custom graphics for both the home dressing room and media facilities.

The partnership between the signage firm and the football club developed through long-standing professional connections within the local community. After producing a successful trial sign, the company secured the contract to upgrade navigation points and fan zones, ensuring supporters can move around the venue more efficiently.

"When the time came for new signage, we produced a trial sign, smashed it out of the park, and the rest is history," said Caroline Russell, sales director at Boss Direct.

Relocating to Blackburn from Bolton in 2023 following strategic business acquisitions, the company now employs approximately 30 staff members. The firm manufactures much of its product line in-house, expanding well beyond its original office stationery roots into full-scale branding, print, and commercial installations.

The completed stadium overhaul establishes a benchmark for regional supplier partnerships within the English Football League, proving that community-driven manufacturing can deliver high-grade architectural aesthetics for major sports institutions.
