Bali Provincial Government Pushes BPD Bali Capital Injection, Targets Huge Dividend Revenue
The Bali Provincial Government officially moved forward with the regional regulation draft regarding additional capital participation for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Bali during a plenary session at the Bali Provincial DPRD in Denpasar.
Bali Governor Wayan Koster emphasized that the capital injection represents a strategic measure designed to reinforce the regional bank's financial foundation. This initiative is structured to support local economic development and expand banking infrastructure throughout the region.
"This step must be taken immediately to strengthen our regional bank and support long-term economic growth," said Governor Koster during the assembly.
Financial projections indicate that utilizing land assets valued at Rp145 billion as part of the regional capital participation will yield steady returns. With a minimum dividend distribution of 25 percent annually, the investment is expected to generate approximately Rp36 billion per year for the local government.
Following the approval of the Rp445 billion injection, the provincial government's total capital participation in BPD Bali will reach nearly Rp1.28 trillion. The administration officially projects minimum dividend earnings of around Rp300 billion annually to bolster local revenue streams.
