Former President Donald Trump asked his supporters to "cheat like hell" to ensure Republican victories during the party's first-ever midterm convention in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday night. The high-stakes event served as a major rallying point ahead of upcoming elections that will determine the balance of power in Congress.

The convention featured intense rhetoric, with Vice President JD Vance delivering a combative keynote address and Texas Senator Ted Cruz launching sharp attacks against political opponents. During Cruz's speech, members of the crowd openly shouted violent threats, yelling "He should be shot" as the senator named various Democratic figures.

"When Mamdami says he wants to seize the means of production, he means it," stated Senator Cruz before audience members interrupted with inflammatory remarks.

Trump also used his address to promise a $5,000 check to all U.S. adults, conditional on Republicans retaining control of both chambers of Congress. This proposal faced swift condemnation from political opponents, including Wisconsin Representative Mark Pocan.

'So now it's $5,000 bribes that Trump will never deliver to attempt to make voters forget what they are paying for gas and food,' stated Representative Pocan in response to the announcement.
