Maryland Officials Demand ICE Accountability, Agents Beat Protesters in Frederick

Elected officials in Maryland are demanding an official investigation after ICE agents engaged in violent clashes with protesters in a residential neighborhood of Frederick last week. Video footage shared by advocacy groups captured federal agents driving vehicles onto lawns and sidewalks while confronting community members.

The multi-day operation centered around a home in the Taskers Chance neighborhood, where agents remained stationed for roughly 40 hours. Witness accounts and video evidence showed federal personnel using batons to strike peaceful demonstrators who formed human chains to protect the residence.

"We see you, we know where you live, and we have your license plate," Frederick City Council President César Díaz reported agents telling intimidated local residents during the ongoing neighborhood standoff.

Additional video documentation revealed an armed federal agent pointing a firearm directly at individuals positioned on the ground. When local city police arrived to inquire whether federal officers possessed a valid judicial warrant to enter the surveilled home, ICE personnel reportedly refused to answer.
