Suspected Intruder Caught at Kamala Harris’ Malibu Estate, Police Increase Patrols

An alleged trespasser was intercepted by security personnel outside the Malibu home of former Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday night. Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and warned the individual to leave, resulting in a voluntary departure without any arrests.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that an alleged trespasser was stopped outside former Vice President Kamala Harris’ property in Malibu, California, late Friday evening. The individual accessed the property grounds but was intercepted by private security personnel before reaching the main residence.

Deputies from the Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff's Station responded to a suspicious person call at approximately 10:30 p.m. upon arrival. Authorities reported that the individual was outside the physical structure, warned to vacate the premises, and departed voluntarily without incident.

"Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly," said Eduardo Negrón, a spokesperson for Harris.

While a formal trespassing report was documented by the sheriff's department, no criminal arrests were made at the scene. As a precautionary measure, local deputies announced plans to increase patrol frequency throughout the surrounding neighborhood.

The security scare follows discussions surrounding government-provided protective details for former executives. Congressional guidelines generally allocate six months of Secret Service protection for former vice presidents, though extensions can be authorized.
